Microsoft's new AI-powered chatbot for Xbox is now available, here's what it does

Microsoft is rolling out a new AI-powered feature for Xbox gamers. In a blog post, Microsoft said that that the new AI feature will be available for select users.

What is the new Xbox AI feature?

Called Support Virtual Agent, it is an AI-powered feature built to help Xbox players more efficiently solve their support-related gaming issues. According to Microsoft, Support Virtual Agent can quickly access information from Xbox support pages to answer questions relevant to Xbox console and game support issues.

Who can use the AI-powered chatbot?

The feature is currently rolling out to select Xbox Insiders. Xbox Insiders in the US and with English selected as their preferred language can begin previewing the Support Virtual Agent. “We value the feedback from Xbox Insiders for this preview experience and any feedback received will be used to improve the Support Virtual Agent,” said Microsoft in a blog post.

How to use Support Virtual Agent?

Xbox Insiders will see the Support Virtual Agent on the “Contact us” page on Xbox support page. They will then have to sign in with the same account they registered with the Xbox Insider Program. Then they’ll see a new option to ask our new Support Virtual Agent a question.

Once you click on “Ask a question,” users will see the Support Virtual Agent launch in a new browser window. “You can ask the agent questions via text or voice, and it will answer with relevant information,” said Microsoft.

In case the Support Virtual Agent cannot solve the issue, users  can request to speak with a live support agent as long as it is within Xbox Support’s normal hours of operation.
