Infinix Note Edge: Launch date, expected features
Infinix has confirmed that its Note Edge smartphone will launch on January 19. It will be the first smartphone to launch globally with the new MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Moreover, the phone will ship with Android 16-based XOS 16, which will also make its debut on the same date. However, the company has yet to reveal the India launch date of the smartphone.
To recall, MediaTek launched the Dimensity 7100 chipset last month, as a successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. This octa-core processor has four Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores with a 2.0GHz clock speed. The chipset also includes the Arm Mali-G610 GPU. Infinix has stated that the Note Edge will support up to 90fps gameplay, and the popular third-person shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds (known as BGMI in India) will run at 60fps.
As for its operating system, the XOS 16 introduces a refreshed UI, which is designed to feel lighter, smoother, and more responsive. The OS will have semi-transparent UI elements alongside 3D spatial wallpapers. It is also teased to come with new animations for different user actions. We can expect to learn more about the Infinix Note Edge in the days leading up to its official debut, as the company gradually teases specifications, design details, features, and market positioning ahead of launch.
