Infinix has released XOS 16, its new Android 16-based skin, which focuses on clean design, personalisation, gaming upgrades, and AI-driven productivity tools. The company has announced that the interface cuts visual clutter and aims to reduce steps for common actions. It also has lots of customisation options across the board, with a new tool called ‘Mind Hub’, an AI-powered space that organises content intelligently.

Infinix’s XOS 16: New features, eligible devices

With its latest XOS 16, Infinix has announced new personalisation features, wallpaper styles, and layouts. Users can also create themes and wallpapers from scratch using an expanded range of wallpaper formats and deep AI integration. There’s a new ‘Depth Effect’ for visual continuity from the lock screen to the home screen. Further, we get new anime-inspired designs, playful Doodles, AI-generated portraits, and other visual enhancements.

XOS 16 also brings several AI tools for work and study. The most interesting one is ‘Mind Hub’, an AI-powered space that saves and organises content intelligently based on the onscreen details. It can also intelligently store memos, reminders, dates, and addresses. Moreover, One-Tap FlashMemo can easily convert notes into events, and AskFolax saves ideas with one tap. Other than that, we get AI Writing to refine messages and AI Suggestions, which watches usage habits and offers the right apps at likely times.

We also get new gaming upgrades in XOS 16. The frame interpolation improves visual smoothness in supported titles. The update also introduces Magic Voice Changer and Voice Command, which aim to add fun layers during play. Moreover, XOS 16 gets a new Transfer for iPhone tool that will use NFC to instantly share photos to Apple devices, without a network. There’s also bypass charging introduced in XOS 16, aiming to reduce heat while using the phone with the charger connected.

Infinix has confirmed that XOS 16 will come pre-installed on all its upcoming smartphones. The update will also roll out to certain existing devices, although the company has not yet shared the full list of eligible models.
