It’s been over a year since Rockstar Games released the first Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 trailer in December 2023, and gaming fans have been waiting impatiently to see the next trailer and the potential confirmed release date of the game. In the past few months, the gaming community has turned to unconventional methods to know the release date of the second trailer, which includes noticing minute details in Rockstar’s social media images or making assumptions from leaked content.
While all efforts for the past year haven’t been fruitful, Rockstar may have finally left a teaser that has convinced the gaming community about a potential release date of the Grand Theft Auto VI second trailer.
GTA 6 second trailer: Expected release date
Earlier last week, Rockstar posted an update about a new Vapid Dominator GT muscle car coming to GTA Online. There are also various objects surrounding the car, including a shot of a metal shipping container with a series of numbers printed on its side. However, one container with ‘2’ written on it with an enlarged font and rectangle on the sides has many believing that this could hold a clue about the second GTA 6 trailer’s release date.
A fan account of GTA 6 named @GTA6 Plus added all the numbers from the image, and the sum turns out to be 30. This theory is further supported by Rockstar’s history of making major announcements on Thursdays and January 30 is therefore expected to be the potential release date of the trailer reveal.
Moreover, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, is set to release its next set of financial results on February 6, so a release date announcement before this makes a lot of sense. Rockstar has already confirmed that GTA 6 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025, and a PC release date could happen in the next two years.
