Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) has issued a new warning for iPhone, Macs, iPads and other Apple products. What’s the warning
CERT-In has classified the security vulnerabilities found as “High” Severity. The government body has mentioned, “Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Apple products which could allow an attacker to access sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, bypass security restrictions, cause denial of service (DoS) conditions, bypass authentication, gain elevated privileges and perform spoofing attacks on the targeted system”.
Why you should be worried
According to the report, the security flaws in these operating systems can allow attackers to gain access to the sensitive information stored in the device including banking details, passwords, addresses, etc. They can use this to bypass security restrictions and cause denial of services on the system.
What you can do
Security flaws have been found within certain versions of the Apple operating system. Apple has already started rolling out the latest versions of the OSes that include fixes for the vulnerabilities found within the systems.
