Fortnite says ‘nothing else matters’ as it celebrates new season with Metallica

Fortnite is celebrating its Season 4 Festival with none other than Metallica, one of the Big Four of thrash metal. Metallica’s lead vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and current bassist Robert Trujillo will be the Icons of Fortnite Season 4.

As per Epic Games, “Season 4 starts June 13 with v30.10 and ends August 16, 2024, at 12AM ET.”

Fortnite Season 4 features a new Battle Stage, the Jam Stage and Main Stage where you can “shred to your favourite Metallica tracks”.

The Fortnite Season 4 Festival Pass also gives you the opportunity to get various in-game rewards. Check out the Fortnite Festival Battle Stage trailer featuring Metallica!

The Battle Stage

In the Battle Stage, there will be 16 participants. Battle your opponents across Metallica’s four-song setlist.

Four participants get eliminated after each song, which means three will be left for the last song. Last one standing will be the winner. You can choose your instrument and difficulty level but won’t be able to pick songs from your library.

Fortnite Season 4 Festival Pass

Completing Fortnite Festival Quests will earn you Festival Points. As the final reward in the free reward track, you’ll get The Fortnite Slurp Blaster Guitar. You can practice the free reward track’s three Jam Tracks: “S.O.M.P”, “The Night Porter (Winnage)” and “Dreamer”.

The Premium Reward track

When you purchase the Premium Reward Track, it will unlock the Lars Ulrich Outfit immediately. To unlock the outfits of Robert Trujillo, Kirk Hammett, and James Hetfield, you just need to progress through the track.

Metallica’s Item Shop Goodies

Metallica’s iconic songs “Enter Sandman”, “Fuel”, “Master of Puppets”, “Ride the Lightning”, “The Unforgiven” and “Wherever I May Roam” will also be available in the Item Shop till the end of Season 4.

Also, the Puppet Master outfit for each member of Metallica will be available in the Item Shop.
