Cleaning is one of those chores that most of us love to hate. The idea of spending weekends sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming while the rest of life waits outside the door can be exhausting. This is where the robot vacuum comes into the picture.
That said, Dreame has just introduced their new offering – F10 – and while it is priced competitively, it does not compromise on features. For instance, this one is – the most affordable cleaner with 13000Pa suction capacity and it also does mopping. Not only that, it supports Dreame’s proprietary – fast mapping – technology too. Not only that, the Vacuum cleaner is priced at Rs 21,000 and it usually sells at Rs 19,999 on Amazon. Moreover, I have reviewed the White colour variant, but if you are someone worried about White colour, the F10 is also available in Black colour option.
But, it still left me wondering if a budget-friendly robot vacuum could actually handle the chaos of a typical Indian home. After spending several days testing it, here’s how the Dreame F10 robot vacuum cleaner fared.
Familiar and practical design
At first glance, the F10 looks like your regular robot vacuum cleaner. It’s a glossy disc with a minimal top-mounted sensor and a matte finish that somehow manages to look sleek without being flashy. It’s not the kind of design that screams premium, but it’s sturdy. Pick it up, and you can feel that weight has been used wisely; nothing rattles or feels flimsy. Under the hood, the Dreame F10 is surprisingly capable. The dustbin holds 570ml, meaning I could go several cleaning cycles without emptying it, and the 235ml water tank is enough to mop multiple rooms without constantly refilling.
What I appreciated immediately was how practical everything felt. The floating rubber brush, for instance, is an understated feature, but in practice, it made a noticeable difference—hair tangles are reduced dramatically, which is a godsend in homes with pets or long-haired family members.
Vacuum and mop: The combo that works
One thing that I have constantly witnessed with the budget vacuum cleaners is the lack of suction power. And, the F10 specifically excels in that department with its 13000Pa of suction. In fact, the mop function does not feel like an afterthought. Here, it feels integrated. The mop doesn’t flood the floor or leave streaks; adjustable water flow ensures it adapts to tiles, marble, and even polished wood without overdoing it. Powered by Dreame’s Vormax Standard system, it delivers up to 13,000Pa, which is strong for this price segment. What impressed me most was Carpet Boost. When the F10 encounters a thicker rug, it automatically ramps up suction and lifts dust that’s been hiding for months.
Thresholds are another challenge in Indian homes, with uneven tiles and raised doorframes everywhere. Many cheaper robots get stuck or stall, but the F10 handled 20mm transitions without hesitation, moving seamlessly between rooms. That’s a small detail that actually changes the daily experience.
In real-world use, the F10 is reliable and versatile. It navigates furniture legs, carpets, and small clutter with minimal intervention. On tiles and marble, the mop leaves surfaces clean and streak-free, and carpets see a noticeable lift in embedded dust. Hair, pet fur, and everyday dirt are all managed efficiently.
What struck me most is how it adapts to the quirks of Indian homes: uneven floors, thresholds, rugs of varying thickness, and even tricky corners. Cheaper robots often leave debris behind in corners or fail to climb small obstacles. The F10 handled these seamlessly, making cleaning less of a chore and more of a background task.
Navigation and mapping: Fastest that I’ve seen
The F10 doesn’t rely on the random bump-and-spin logic that plagues most budget vacuums. Its Smart Pathfinder technology maps the home intelligently, navigating around furniture and obstacles with precision. Even small objects like plastic bowling pins—on the floor or a shoe brush, etc are detected by F10 and it avoids them. Also, thanks to the sensors and its accuracy, it identifies the stairs and does not try suicide attempt.
The Dreame Home app adds a level of control that makes a real difference. Multi-floor mapping, virtual boundaries, no-mop zones—these aren’t just gimmicks. I set up a no-mop zone on my wooden dining area and the F10 respected it perfectly. You can also schedule zone cleaning, assign specific rooms to specific days, and manage everything without having to chase the device around the house. For anyone who isn’t naturally tech-savvy, the app still feels intuitive and responsive.
Not only this, the app also supports smart assistant integration like Alexa and Google Home and allows users to run it with complete automation. For instance, I created a routine on the Alexa app to start clearing whenever I leave the kitchen after finishing my cooking and when the motion sensor detects no motion after 11:30am. A similar routine is in place for the evening.
Not only these, I also have a routine that starts the F10 in the morning and till the time I am up – it cleans the entire house.
Battery
A 5200mAh battery keeps the F10 running for up to 300 minutes, which is more than enough for my apartment and part of my house. On a single charge, it covered around 270 square meters. If the battery runs low mid-task, it returns to the dock, charges, and resumes from exactly where it left off. This continuity is surprisingly stress-free; I could just set it and forget it.
Voice controls via Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri are present, but honestly, I found myself rarely using them. Automation and scheduling within the app made issuing commands unnecessary. In practice, this felt more convenient than shouting at a smart speaker.
Should you buy it?
The Dreame F10 isn’t about luxury or flashy AI gimmicks—it’s about making cleaning effortless. With strong suction, a dual-function vacuum and mop, smart navigation, and long battery life, it handles the quirks of Indian homes with ease. From uneven tiles and thresholds to rugs and pet hair, it consistently delivers without constant supervision. Add robust after-sales support and intuitive app controls, and the F10 becomes more than just a gadget—it’s a reliable, no-fuss cleaning companion that lets Indian households reclaim their weekends.
