As a franchise, you might know that over the years, we have not used the path of trading, except for one year when we got Robin Uthappa. The team management felt the need for a top-order Indian batsman. And since not many Indian batsmen are going to be available at the auction, we thought the best way to get an Indian top-order batter is to go through the trade window," said CSK MD Kasi Viswanathan about the Jadeja-Samson deal.

Nitish Rana has joined the Delhi Capitals after a trade from the Royals. He will get Rs 4.2 crore. Earlier, he was linked to CSK as well.

The reports emerged to be true as Mohammed Shami has left SRH and joined LSG for Rs 10 crore. He will be eager to perform this year for the Super Giants.

Ravindra Jadeja has parted ways with the Chennai Super Kings and joined his first IPL team Rajasthan Royals. His feed has been reduced to Rs 14 crore from Rs 18 crore her received from CSK.
