Evergrande executive director Shawn Sui says winding-up order 'regrettable'

The executive director of China's embattled Evergrande said Monday the decision by a Hong Kong court to order its liquidation was "regrettable".

"Today's court ruling is contrary to our original intention," Shawn Sui, the firm's executive director, told the business daily 21st Century Business Herald, adding "we can only say that we have tried our best and it's very regrettable".
