In 2022, an Indian entrepreneur based in Singapore pitched his startup to Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath over a cold email and was surprised to get a reply in just an hour. Although the pitch didn’t result in an investment, the quick response left a lasting impression on the founder. In his recent post on X, Manoj Ahirwar shared how the prompt reply gave him confidence to pursue his vision. Today, his startup is generating over $200,000 (about Rs 1.8 crore) in revenue.
“I reached out to Nithin Kamath back in 2020 when I launched my startup MoneyFit. I didn't expect a reply, but he responded within an hour,” Ahirwar wrote. “While I didn't end up getting investment from Zerodha, it was incredible to see how accessible he was. You could just reach out directly to the founder,” he added.
Rather than feeling discouraged, Akhirwar felt inspired and continued building.
‘’When I look back, I realise that my startup MoneyFit wasn't ready for investment, but I'm glad I tried anyway,’’ he concluded.
