In Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and many other cities, when we order groceries and daily items from quick commerce platforms, the rider usually delivers them on an EV, a bike or a bicycle. Speed on wheels has become the norm. But it seems Rajasthan has taken a different route. A recent viral video shows what appears to be a Blinkit delivery partner riding a horse instead.

The clip, now widely shared on social media, shows an elderly man travelling on horseback along a busy road in broad daylight. What caught people’s attention was not just the horse, but the bright yellow delivery backpack of Blinkit on his back.

The video appears to have been recorded from inside a moving car. The rider is seen guiding the horse steadily through traffic. While there is no confirmation that he was actually delivering an order, many online users quickly formed their own conclusions.

The post that first shared the clip carried a humorous take on the situation, drawing a comparison between generations and the state’s traditions. It read, “This is Rajasthan, bro…!!! The youth aren’t even getting the chance to ride a mare… And the old men are doing online deliveries on horses…”

As the video gained traction, others joined in with playful remarks about the state’s distinct style. One user reshared the clip while praising Rajasthan’s larger-than-life image, writing, “Rajasthan is such a legendary state that even Blinkit riders use horses for delivery.”

Some comments focused on wordplay, linking the scene to the company’s branding in a light-hearted way. One user commented, “Blinkit can officially say that they have horse power in Rajasthan”.

Beyond the jokes, a section of users highlighted the rider’s age and continued effort to work. Reflecting on this aspect, one wrote, “The biggest thing is that he is still working at this an age, there can't be anything bigger than this.”

Blinkit is widely recognised for delivering groceries within minutes in several big cities. The service, owned by Zomato, usually depends on bikes, scooters and electric vehicles to ensure fast drop-offs. That is why the idea of a delivery partner travelling on horseback feels so unusual and far removed from its regular system.

Rajasthan, however, shares a deep bond with horses. They have long been part of the state’s royal past, wedding processions and public celebrations. Seeing a modern delivery bag placed on a traditional horse created a rare mix of old and new, which is perhaps why the video quickly caught people’s interest online.
