At the Mobile World Conference, Nokia unveiled the Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 alongside its flagship device Nokia 9 PureView. Two months after their first unveiling, the smartphones have been posted on Nokia India’s official website.
Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2’s India listing does not mention the price or date of release. However, it does suggest that the launch is imminent. The Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 would be Nokia’s latest offering in India under the mid-budget segment.
To recall, the Nokia 3.2 has a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a 720x1520 resolution. The TFT screen has a water-drop notch with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 SoC and comes with different RAM and ROM options. The phone has 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB options, and can be expanded via microSD up to 400 GB. A 4,000 mAh battery packed inside the Nokia 3.2 can last for two days, claims Nokia.
In terms of camera, the Nokia 3.2 has a single 13MP lens with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash. The front camera has a 5MP fixed-focus camera for selfies and face unlock. Under the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The Nokia 4.2, on the other hand, features a smaller 5.71-inch HD+ screen with a resolution of 720*1520 pixels. It has the same 19:9 aspect ratio with a water-drop notch on top. The Nokia 4.2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC and comes with 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB variants. The storage can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD.
At the back, the Nokia 4.2 has a dual camera setup with a 13 MP f/2.2 autofocus primary lens and a 2 MP fixed-focus secondary lens that comes with Google Lens integration. The front camera is a 13 MP shooter. It will run on Android 9 Go edition and be available in Pink Sand and Black colour options.
While we wait for the official launch, both the smartphones are expected to be priced under Rs 15,000. They would compete with Redmi Note 7, Samsung Galaxy A10, A20, M10, M30, and Realme 3.
