In what is being described as a "peak Bengaluru" moment, billionaire entrepreneur and podcast host Nikhil Kamath was spotted on a "mushroom walk" with other Bengalurians at the city's green lung -- Cubbon Park. The walk was conducted by Nuvedo--a Bengaluru-based company that works on using mushrooms for better health and wellness.

"Hung out with Nikhil Kamath today. For real," wrote entrepreneur Aymen Aslam, sharing pictures from the walk. "I was having a shit week. My gf dragged me to this thing called a 'mushroom walk' in Cubbon Park. Guess who also joined in? Yes, Nikhil Kamath. Doesn’t get more Peak Bengaluru than this. 10/10 Sunday morning."

In a separate post, Aslam added that the walk was "super lowkey". "He (Nikhil Kamath) came in alone. Super nonchalant."

Although Nikhil Kamath has not said much about his nature-loving side, he had dedicated an episode of his podcast 'WTF is' to climate change exploring the impacts of climate change and the implications of a dramatic increase in carbon dioxide levels, as well as the looming threat of a 3-degree temperature rise.

In February, the Zerodha co-founder donated Rs 50 lakh to a charity that pioneers combating climate change in the country. The initiative will also involve the community on the ground to raise awareness about the impact of climate change and how to mitigate its effects.

He has also pledged a majority of his wealth to philanthropic causes focusing on climate change, energy, education, and health. This is in addition to the 37-year-old's own foundation, Young Indian Philanthropic Pledge (YIPP) which collaborates with leaders from the startup ecosystem to give away at least 25 percent of their net worth to philanthropic causes.
