From Microsoft to AMD, these gaming titans were the biggest winners at E3 2019

The end of E3 2019 spells the beginning of a new era in gaming.

From console to PC, E3 gives the entire gaming community a glimpse into the future of gaming. E3 2019 saw some of the major players coming out with a ton of new announcements in the form of new games, gaming hardware and gaming services.

Microsoft

Microsoft was perhaps the biggest winner at E2019. From cloud gaming with Project xCloud to the next-gen Xbox Console, titled Project Scarlett, there was nothing really stopping Microsoft on the console front. Microsoft also announced that the Xbox Game Pass would be coming to PC. But the biggest announcements came in the form of the company's many games, including the likes of Halo Infinite and Gears 5, not to mention the software giant's many partners who will give us the likes of Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring and so much more.

AMD

With no new console or graphics hardware from Team Green, AMD soared through E3 2019 virtually unchallenged. The company revealed the world's first mainstream 16-core CPU in the form of the Ryzen 9 3950x. Team Red also revealed all the details on its new Radeon RX 5700 series, including specs, price and launch date. In terms of hardware, AMD certainly had the biggest reveal at the trade show.

Nintendo

Despite the rumours of new Switch consoles, Nintendo remained silent at the show front. But that didn't stop the company from announcing a ton of new games to its handheld gaming console. Apart from new titles like Pokemon Sword and Shield and Legends of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Nintendo also announced over 35 titles coming to the Switch platform.

Ubisoft

Ghost_Recon

Despite announcements from Bethesda, Square Enix, Activision and several other big-name studios, none of them compared to Ubisoft. The scale of announcements alone from the gaming titan was enough to give it a leg up on any of the competition. From Ghost Recon: Breakpoint to Watch Dogs: Legion, Ubisoft had fans completely covered on the gaming front. The company also revealed a $15 all-you-can-eat buffet of games in the form of a new game subscription, titled UPlay+. Beyond games, Ubisoft also confirmed a movie on "The Division" and an upcoming TV show with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator Rob McElhenney.

Nvidia

Nvidia_Ray_Tracing

Nvidia may have not brought any new hardware to E3 2019. But ray tracing, a feature aggressively advertised on its new RTX graphics cards, got its biggest win at the event. After a shaky start, E3 2019 confirmed several upcoming games would adopt real-time ray tracing, which in-turn justifies the company's stiff RTX tax. With tons of future titles supporting ray tracing, Nvidia can easily justify the addition of the RT cores on their RTX GPUs.
