Working under individuals who have contributed in bringing about a positive change in the world can be super beneficial for a person in the long run. Something similar happened with Noah Kagan as well. A former employee at Facebook, Kagan took to X to share 10 things he learnt from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg before getting laid off.
According to Kagan, he was the 30th employee at Facebook. Then, he got fired. However, before he was laid off, he learnt some lessons from Zuckerberg that helped him achieve a lot in life and even made him the CEO of a $100 million company.
“I was employee #30 at Facebook. Then I got fired. Now I’m the CEO of a $100 million company. 10 non-obvious lessons I learned from working directly under Mark Zuckerberg,” Kagan, who is the CEO of AppSumo, wrote.

Kagan mentioned all the things that Zuckerberg used to do as a leader at Facebook. Some of them were: Focusing on one goal, moving fast, only hiring A players, treating your employees well, giving ownership to the team, having a big vision, and paying attention to detail, among others.
The techie also wrote in detail about each of the lessons in his now-viral thread that amassed over a million views since being shared. The post also piqued the interest of social media users who flooded the comments section with their reactions.
"So much insight, thank you," one user wrote. Another user commented, "This is pure value thanks for sharing."
"What a journey! Turning lessons into leadership at your own company is truly inspiring. Focusing on one major goal has been a game-changer for us too. It keeps the team aligned and pushes everyone to move in the same direction. Great insights!" a third user remarked.
A fourth user added, "A brilliant thread. You are an inspiration."
