The entire world witnessed the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday. Over 7,000 people from various fields attended the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Among them was Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt as well. For the historic occasion, Bhatt was dressed in a turquoise blue Mysore silk saree that depicted important scenes from the Ramayana.
According to the Bhatt’s stylist, Ami Patel, the six yards was designed by Madhurya Creations. The simple yet eye-catching piece featured various parts of the epic Ramayana intricately painted on the pallu. The pictures shared by Patel showed the breaking of the Shiva Dhanush, King Dashrath’s promise, the golden deer, Sita’s abduction by Ravana, Ram Setu and Lord Hanuman presenting the ring to Sita, among others.
The miniature paintings were done in the ‘Pattachitra’ style and took 100 hours to complete. The “Highway” actor also wore a matching Kashmiri shawl to complete her traditional look.
