The delivery agent who worked for DoorDash was sacked for spitting on the customer's food.

A delivery agent was caught on camera spitting on a customer's food after he was given a tip of $3 (Rs 250) for delivering the food.

In an Instagram video, the delivery agent, employed with DoorDash, could be seen keeping the food at the doorstep. He then clicks a photo of the delivery for evidence, but then spits on the food after he was not given a proper tip.

"I didn't tell you, they left me nothing. And they didn’t even leave me $1 (Rs 83)," the man could be heard saying on camera.

As per a report on Local10 news, the incident took place on Saturday in Kendall area of Florida, United States and the food was ordered by a 13-year-old boy named Elias Crisanto and his mother.

"My reaction was I wanted to throw up. It’s so disgusting. I mean, who does that?" Crisanto told the news outlet.

The boy and his mother said that they had added a tip of $3 (Rs 249) along with the bill of $30 (Rs 2,493) and felt that delivery agent was disappointed with the tip that was given to him.

The boy added that he told his mother about the incident, who then contacted DoorDash. He then sent the video to the food delivery platform and demanded a refund, which was initially refused but was later given to the family.

DoorDash released a statement saying that the man had been sacked and would not deliver food in future for the platform.
