Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel announced here today that her government will start a single window system to provide guidance to small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs in the state.
According to an official release issued here, she made the announcement while laying foundation stone for the Skill Development Centre of the Federation of Industries and Associations (FIA) at the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate in Gandhinagar.
Patel stated that the single window system would be functional from June this year, adding that it would enable direct interaction between Gujarat state government as well as SME entrepreneurs, the release stated.
She also directed GIDC officials to develop an online monitoring system, so that senior officials in Gandhinagar can take stock of the latest situation of all GIDC plots or sheds across the state in order to make decisions for optimum utilisation, the release stated.
To solve problems being faced by all the industrialists having their plants in various GIDC estates in the state, Patel announced that meetings would be held under her chairpersonship with industrialists who have put up plants at GIDC estates, in order to solve their problems, the release stated.
