11.20 am: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday lashed bot the Congress and the BJP over the Parliament deadlock, saying it's a fixing between both the national political parties. "We want debate on the Prime Minister's statement," he said.
11.12 am: SP, Left and TDP are meeting over Parliament deadlock. They may seek support from non-BJP and non-Congress parties. Sources say that there is a view emerging in this group that Parliament should function. These parties are also trying to take the BJD on board.
11:07 am: The ruckus over the CAG report on coal blocks allocation continued in both the Houses of Parliament as the session reconvened after a day's break on Thursday. Both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 12 noon.
Both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress have refused to budge and are blaming each other. While the BJP is firm on demanding Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation, the Congress has now slammed the BJP over the coal block allocations in 1999.
Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal slammed the NDA over allocations in 1999. "The allocation guidelines were tweaked under the NDA regime," Sibal alleged.
Also facing the heat now is a former NDA partner and Odisha Chief Minister Navin Patnaik. He sought coal block allotments for a specific company.
