Aspiring actor Suraj Pancholi's, arrested in actress Jaih Khan death case, judicial custody ends on Thursday. Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj on Wednesday had moved to Bombay High Court, seeking bail in the case.

Suraj's bail plea was rejected by a sessions court last week, saying that prima facie Jiah had been mentally abused by him. He was arrested on the charge of abetting the suicide of Jiah Khan.

He was arrested on the basis of a letter, purportedly written by Jiah, which was found by her mother Rabiyah Khan and her sister from Jiah's bedroom a few days after she hung herself from the ceiling fan on June 3.

Suraj Pancholi was arrested on the basis of a letter, purportedly written by Jiah Khan, were she spoke about how he mentally harassed her.

In the letter, Jiah spoke how she was mentally harassed by Suraj and how she had undergone an abortion. Suraj, lodged in Arthur Road prison in central Mumbai, says in his bail plea that he and Jiah were in a consensual relationship and the letter is being misused by Rabiyah.

Police's case is that letter was "incriminating" against Suraj as Jiah blamed him for her downslide and said she was "heartbroken" in her relationship with him and was fed up with his "womanising". The High Court is likely to hear the bail application on July 5.
