Anna's team will fast with him, says Kejriwal

Team Anna Core Committee member Arvind Kejriwal has lashed out at Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh for his remarks apparently taking potshots at them earlier in the day. Singh had said that Team Anna was simply enjoying the fruits, while the "old man" was being "harassed in the cold".

Kejriwal retorted saying, "Instead of passing a strong Lokpal Bill, he is questioning the intentions of Team Anna. For his information, this time, Team Anna Core Committee members will also sit on the fast."

Digvijaya Singh had come down hard on Anna Hazare and the main Opposition BJP arguing that most of the demands made by the anti-corruption activist had been incorporated in the draft Lokpal Bill.

"All three demands made by him have been included. The Prime Minister is included within its ambit," the general secretary said.

He asked Anna and his team to "have faith in the judgment of the elected representatives of the people", and said that they were "not targeting those" who were opposing the Bill.

"They are targeting the Congress, that has, from day one, been trying to incorporate their demands," he said.

"We are not scared of Anna. We will fight electorally," the general secretary said.

He said Anna and his team nurtured political ambitions as the activist announced he would go on a tour in election-bound states, asking the people not to vote for Congress.
