A 23-year-old Bengaluru start-up founder aims to be Bryn Johnson of India and begins tracking his health.

Inspired by American entrepreneur Bryan Johnson and his widely discussed longevity experiments, a Bengaluru-based startup founder has announced an ambitious personal health project, calling himself “the Bryan Johnson of India.” Punarv Dinakar, founder of health-tech startup Sedona Health, said he plans to closely track and optimise his health metrics, from blood pressure to sleep patterns, documenting the process publicly on social media.

In a detailed post on X, the 23-year-old entrepreneur said his goal is not necessarily to extend his lifespan, but to improve the quality of his life. “To everyone reading this, Hi, I'm Punarv. I'm 23 and starting today, I will be the Bryan Johnson of India,” he wrote, adding that the journey would involve monitoring nearly every aspect of his physical wellbeing.

Dinakar said he has already begun with a comprehensive blood test costing Rs 7,000 to analyse key biomarkers. He also revealed that he has invested in a WHOOP device to track sleep, strain and recovery, while using Strava for physical activity, Amy for calorie tracking and Sedona for monitoring biomarkers. “This is just the start,” he wrote, noting that he plans to go “a lot deeper into every single aspect” of his health.

Drawing a distinction between his approach and Johnson’s longevity-focused mission, Dinakar said his motivation was different. “The only difference is that Im not doing this to ‘live longer’, but to live life to the fullest,” he wrote, adding that he would make his progress and findings public. Inviting others interested in similar lifestyle experiments to follow along, he concluded, “The journey begins.”

The post quickly went viral, triggering a wide range of reactions online. Some users expressed admiration for the discipline and transparency, while others responded with humour and scepticism. One user joked that while most people in their early twenties focus on social media aesthetics, Dinakar was busy optimising biomarkers, calling it “either incredibly smart or the most documented midlife crisis in Bengaluru.”

Others urged caution, with one commenter advising him to prioritise happiness over extreme optimisation, while another warned that constant health tracking could increase anxiety over minor fluctuations. At the same time, several users said the post motivated them to take their own health more seriously, with some even expressing interest in joining the experiment.
