iPhone SE 5G launch date has surfaced online. According to a report, the first Apple event of 2022 will be hosted on March 8 for the new iPhone SE 5G. At the 2022 Apple event, the company might also launch new iPad models alongside the budget iPhone.
Apple has not yet announced the iPhone SE 5G launch date yet. However, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg claims that the first Apple event will be hosted on March 8. This is earlier than the previous two iPhone SE launch events, which were held in April. Gurman states that the company might move the launch date further if there is any change of plans owing to supply constraints.
Alongside the iPhone, Apple is also said to launch the new iPad Air and the iPad 10th-generation. A recent report claimed that the devices have already been imported to India for testing purposes.
The iPhone SE 5G is rumoured to sport a 4.7-inch display with thick bezels at the top and bottom. There will also be the iconic Touch ID Home button for unlocking the iPhone. For 5G network support, the iPhone SE 3/ 5G will come with Apple’s A14 or A15 Bionic chip.
The iPad Air is rumoured to feature a 10.9-inch OLED display. It will have the same design as the iPad Air 2020. The upcoming iPad is also said to borrow some features from the iPad mini 6 such as Centre Stage, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support, etc. It will also come with the A15 Bionic chip found on the iPhone 13 (Review) and the iPhone 13 Pro (Review) models.
The entry-level iPad (review) is also said to get an upgrade in March. It is said to come with a slightly faster chipset. The current iPad ninth-generation model has an A12 chip.
