Gadgets roundup March 1, 2024: iPhone 16 leaks, Samsung Galaxy S24 features & AI tools, BenQ 27-inch monitor, Honor earbuds under 2K

There's a flurry of new gadget launches in March, from the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G to the Nothing (2a) phone. February, too, saw a range of gadget launches - including large monitors under 12K and ANC TWS Bluetooth earbuds under 2K. A round-up of what you need to know.

1. Honor’s new earbuds land in the sub Rs 2000 segment: Honor Choice X5 Earbuds with 30dB of Active Noise Cancellation, 35-hour battery life and connectivity with Honor AI Space, were launched alongside the Honor X9b smartphone and the Honor Choice Watch.

2. 5 Cool AI features to try in Samsung Galaxy S24 series: Samsung launched three S24 devices in January this year: the Galaxy S24, the S24+ and the top-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Each of these devices has features like Generative edit (to edit, remaster, recompose images after taking them) and tools to translate messages and calls in real time. Prices start at Rs 79,999.

3. Infinix Hot 40i lands in the sub Rs 10K segment, with a 32MP selfie cam and 256GB of storage: Priced at Rs 9,999, Infinix's latest smartphone Hot 40i boasts its Skyfall design and a camera module enhanced with a Quad-LEDRing Flash. Apart from the 32MP selfie cam, there's a 50MP Dual AI Camera, Quad LED Ring Flash and 12+ camera modes including Pro mode.

4. ​BenQ’s all-new sub Rs 10K 100Hz monitor: The BenQ 24-inch GW2490 and 27-inch GW2790 feature Full HD IPS displays and eye care features like BenQ's Brightness Intelligence Gen 2, which adjusts screen brightness based on ambient light. The price: Rs 8,698 for the 24-inch Ben Q GW2490; and Rs 11,498 for the 27-inch BenQ GW2790.

5. Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, Samsung’s first F series device for 2024: The F in Samsung Galaxy F15 5G stands for Full On. The phone is expected to launch in India on March 4. Though Samsung hasn't confirmed the prices yet, online leaks put the price points at Rs 13,499 for the 4GB+128GB RAM variant and Rs 14,999 for 6GB+128GB. The image reveal on Flipkart has confirmed that the F15 will feature a triple rear camera.

6. Mark Gurman captures mixed consumer reactions on Apple Vision Pro: Bloomberg correspondent Mark Gurman wrote in his column that he isn't writing off the Apple Vision Pro despite its $3,500 price tag and early snags - according to his sources, there have been average to above average returns of the device within the two-week window for returns in the US. He wrote that the Vision Pro represents a peek into the future, but that future hasn’t arrived yet.

7. Nothing Phone (2a) all set for March launch: Set to launch on March 5, the Nothing Phone (2a) will likely be cheaper than the Nothing Phone (1) - according to a hint Nothing CEO Carl Pei dropped in a video. Nothing Phone (1) launched in India on July 21, 2022, and starts at around Rs 30,000. The Nothing 2 smartphone launched in India on July 11, 2023, at a starting price of Rs 39,999.

8. iPhone 16 leak: With months to go before the launch, online leaks and rumour mills are spilling and spinning away. Among the top tidbits are Apple's presumed plans to stretch the screen size: 6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone Pro Max. There is also speculation that the iPhone could get a new camera module, and there may be as many as four iPhones launching in September.
