Apple is aiming for something unique this time -- a massive 20-inch foldable MacBook, which may see a launch sometime in 2027. Of course, currently, this device is a rumour from the noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who took to the social media platform X to share his insights.
According to Kuo’s post, Apple’s foldable product roadmap is currently centred around this colossal 20.3-inch MacBook, which is expected to enter mass production in roughly three years. He did not reveal any more details, but one can let his imagination go wild about the new product. Currently, the largest laptop offering from Apple is the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

To put things in perspective, Ming-Chi Kuo is a renowned Apple analyst, with over 10 years of experience reporting on Apple with data from the supply chain. Much of what we learn about upcoming products, delays, and potential price points is derived from Kuo's reports.
Kuo's predictions are often taken as benchmarks in the tech sphere and thus, industry analyst Ross Young and The Elec have also hinted at the possibility of a 20-inch foldable MacBook in Apple’s pipeline.
Just earlier this week, Apple unveiled a pair of new MacBook Air laptops with its latest M3 processors, betting that the more powerful models would attract consumers looking to upgrade to artificial intelligence-powered personal computers.
The new MacBook Air models come with 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes and are up to 60% faster than the model with Apple's M1 processor, the company said on its website.
The introduction of AI-enabled PCs is expected to help drive a recovery in the PC market in 2024 after a more than two-year, post-pandemic slump.
Its Mac sales were up slightly at $7.78 billion in the last reported quarter after slumping by a third in the previous quarter.
