Yahoo! Inc., Microsoft Corp., AOL Inc. are all set to come together to give each of their advertising businesses, a new chance at success. According to a new plan, as per a report in the Wall Street Journal, the technology stronghead trio will sell their ads on each other's platforms. This move comes in the wake of Google's alleged dominance in the space (online advertising) they all exist, but quite insignificantly, since Google has been touted as the market favorite. With the latest move, Yahoo!, Microsoft and AOL can look at improving the rates of their display advertising.

The ad spaces, in question, would essentially be those which haven't been sold to any of the marketers already. Simply put, all the remaining ad spaces, albeit in prominent positions on the host sites will be used. The three companies put this proposed plan in front of Madison Avenue executives and it was also revealed that the proposed plan will take shape either later this year or the next year.
