Ubisoft releases first featurette for Far Cry 3

With the release of Far Cry 3 just around the corner, Ubisoft has released the first in a series of videos where the developers of the game talk about its features. In the first video, simply titled Far Cry 3 - Featurette Episode 1, the producer of the game, Dan Hay talks about the game's world.The game is taking an open world approach and the game world consists of three tropical islands, called the Rook Islands. The game boasts of many features, like having a dynamic weather system, wildlife, and a dynamic fire system that spreads realistically on its own. Players can use fire to either outright destroy enemy settlements, or as a distraction while the move around and attempt to flank the enemy. Every creature in the game, humans included, exhibit their own behaviour and properties, and you will see naturally occurring gunfights and attacks from wildlife. Ubisoft will be releasing another episode of the Featurette soon.Earlier this month, Ubisoft had released the story trailer for Far Cry 3. In the game, you are originally on the island for a fun vacation. Things go sour when you run into some psychopaths who like murdering and torturing for no good reason. It's up to you to get stronger, get better weapons, and find out what's wrong in the island. The game will pit you against humans as well as nature, with everything from psychopathic bandits to hungry tigers wanting to eat you.
