India's Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said on Thursday that law enforcement agencies were working on the ground to prevent violence and ensure restoration of confidence and normalcy.
"It is the job of the MEA that if there is any important development in India, then we should engage others on that, and if there is any request from the diplomatic community - asking us what happened and why did it happen - then it is our job to engage them and put our perspective," Kumar said on Thursday.
Raveesh Kumar also told media persons that India has received no reports from Pakistan on the closure of air space
"The Prime Minister has, regrettably, not convened an all-party meeting as per the established practice in our democracy," the joint statement by Opposition leaders added.
In another tweet following Swaraj's meeting with Valencia, he said "good discussion on ways to further consolidate bilateral relationship in the areas of trade, agriculture, pharma, IT and capacity building."
Swaraj, who arrived in Luxembourg on the third leg of her four-nation tour yesterday, became the first external affairs minister from India to visit the European country.
Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that inelligence agencies had last approached the ministry with Hong Kong as a possible location.
Troops of India and China were locked in a 73-day-long standoff in Dokalam since June 16 after the Indian side stopped the building of a road in the disputed area by the Chinese Army. Bhutan and China have a dispute over Dokalam.
