With the election of Ram Nath Kovind and Venkaiah Naidu, India now has a new President and Vice-President.

From appointing Governors to judges, the President of India serves as Head of the State and is tasked with defending the Constitution.

He acts on the advice of the government in most of his duties.

On the other hand, Vice President serves as Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and presides over sittings of the Upper House.
