Actor Kamal Haasan plans to start his own political party on his 63rd birthday next month. Haasan, on Wednesday, met his fans in Chennai to chalk out a strategy and give it a final shape, reports CNN-News18.

Hasaan is likely to announce his own political party on November 7. He had earlier said that he will float a party by January 2018.

His reason for starting a new party is that none of the existing parties doesn't represent his beliefs. Haasan earlier told the channel in an that his party will not be forged on the basis of either religion or casteism as he is against both of them.

The actor will make his political debut following the unfortunate state of affairs in Tamil Nadu after the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Hasaan added that all the parties in Tamil Nadu are corrupt and he wants to make the state corruption free.

“I love my country but it starts from my home and then from my state. There is definitely a divide between North and South India. Delhi doesn’t understand Tamil Nadu, and vice-versa. Even if there is a positive move from either side, the other views it with suspicion. This is why no national party has made it [big] in Tamil Nadu,” Haasan said.

In order to resolve this perceived divide between the north and the south, he recommends a dialogue between them.
