The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday released the draft electoral rolls of West Bengal based on its enumeration feedback. On its website, the poll body also published the names of voters, whose names were part of the electoral rolls of the state in 2025 but were deleted from the draft rolls of 2026, mentioning the reasons for their removal.
The draft rolls have been made available on the official website of CEO, West Bengal, ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/electors as well as the voter portal of the EC, voters.eci.gov.in, and also on the ECINET application.
The list of deleted voters is currently available on the commission's portal link ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in/asd_sir.
Here’s a quick guide on how to check your name in the West Bengal draft voter listTo check your name in the draft electoral rolls, visit the official website of the Election Commission, voters.eci.gov.in or the official website of Bengal’s chief electoral officer, ceowestbengal.wb.gov.in.
Voters may check their names at the polling station with the booth-level officer (BLO), who has a copy of the electoral rolls for each booth. The details are also accessible via the ECINET mobile app.
After you head to the portal, you can search using name and electors photo identity card (EPIC) number and the details will appear.
What should you do if you can’t find your name in the lists?In case you are not able to find your name in the draft electoral rolls, follow the steps mentioned below:
First, you have to fill and submit Form 6 along with ‘Annexure-IV’, which is a declaration form, to the booth level officer (BLO).
This can be submitted offline at the BLO’s office or online at voters.eci.gov.in. The same can also be submitted through the ECINET app. Applicants will be required to appear before the Commission for a hearing, submit documents proving Indian citizenship and voter eligibility, and explain why their names could not be linked during the revision process, according to a Times of India report.
If you are not able to access the website, check with the BLO appointed by the commission. One can also reach out to the booth level assistants (BLAs) from the political parties for assistance.
The claims and objections window is from December 16 to January 15, 2026.
West Bengal SIRThe Election Commission (EC) published West Bengal's draft electoral rolls following SIR, with officials indicating that the names of more than 58 lakh voters have been deleted on various grounds, including death, migration and non-submission of enumeration forms.
After these deletions, the state's draft electoral rolls are expected to carry the names of 7,08,16,631 voters, 58,20,898 fewer than 7,66,37,529, which was the electorate before SIR.
"Aggrieved persons can submit their claims in Form 6 along with the Declaration Form and supporting documents after publication of the draft roll during the period fixed for receiving claims and objections, from December 16, 2025, to January 15, 2026," an EC official told PTI.
