Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday urged unity between all Indians and said that we are all one.
While attending the inauguration of the Sindhi Camp Gurudwara in Satna, he said, "Today we call ourselves different, but no matter which religion or language we associate with, the truth is we are all one, we are Hindus.“
“But the clever Britishers fought and ruled us, taking away our spiritual conscience and giving us materialistic things. Since then, we have considered ourselves different from one another," the RSS chief added.
He further said, "Sometimes, people who don‘t consider themselves Hindus go abroad, yet the world still calls them Hindus. This surprises them, as they try their best not to be identified as such. But the truth is, they are Hindus," he added.
Bhagwat also spoke about the Sindhi community and said that many Sindhis did not move to Pakistan. "The new generation should reflect on this. That is our second home, where our belongings and spaces were taken by others, but one day, we will reclaim them as they rightfully belong to us," he said.
He also stressed on the importance of spiritual knowledge and said that "In order to attain true independence, one should implement India‘s spiritual knowledge in daily life," adding, "India can teach the world about peace and prosperity." he added.
Earlier during the week, Bhagwat had said that the RSS has a vision and goal in shaping the country’s character and also stressed on the importance of having “role models" in society who will motivate citizens to work for the nation's progress.
Moreover, Bhagwat also spoke the seven goals and objectives of the Sangh as well as Swayamsevaks in the near future, news18 reported.
