A 27-year-old woman tragically lost her life on February 2 in Banda district after a staged hanging scene for an Instagram reel went fatally wrong, police said.

The incident took place in the Karuiya Purva area of Baberu. The deceased has been identified as Mohini, wife of Jagdish, who was reportedly passionate about creating social media reels. On the day of the accident, she was filming a dramatic hanging scene inside her room using her mobile phone.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the matter is being investigated from all angles."
