Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday gave a new definition to the Samajwadi Party's (SP) acronym 'PDA,' calling it the "Production House of Dangai (rioters) and Apradhi (criminals)."

Speaking at an election rally in Katehari (Ambedkar Nagar) for the upcoming bypolls, Adityanath criticized the SP for fostering criminal elements, claiming that its leader Akhilesh Yadav serves as the "CEO" of this "production house," with Shivpal Yadav acting as its "trainer."

He alleged that the SP is a party that nurtures notorious criminals, mafias, and rioters, and even claimed that every feared criminal, including infamous figures like Atiq Ahmad and Mukhtar Ansari, is a product of the SP's alleged support.

Adityanath further criticized the SP for allegedly trying to shield the accused in the Ayodhya rape case and for promoting fear among women in the state. He also accused the party of having orchestrated major criminal events, such as the murders of MLA Krishnanand Rai and Raju Pal.

The Chief Minister contrasted the socialist movement, which he said was founded on values and ideals by leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, with the current state of the SP, which he claimed has turned into a haven for criminals and mafias.

In his speech, Adityanath emphasized that the November 20 bypolls were crucial not just for the present, but for shaping the future. He also reiterated the BJP's commitment to development, security, and flood relief in the state.

The bypolls are being held in nine assembly constituencies across Uttar Pradesh, including Katehari, Karhal, Meerapur, Ghaziabad, and Phulpur, among others. While the SP is contesting the elections with the support of the Congress, the BSP is running candidates independently across all seats.
