Launching the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s national membership drive - 'Sanghatan Parva, Sadasyata Abhiyan 2024' at BJP Headquarters in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the saffron party's strong democratic traditions and said that BJP is the only party that follows internal democracy.

BJP president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and other top leaders attended the party event. Shah, while addressing the event, said the BJP is not only the world's largest political party but also the most democratic party. No other party conducts its membership drive with such transparency and honesty as the BJP, he added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised PM Modi, saying the PM has made sure that even if we dream big, our promises to people must always remain in alignment with what we are capable of delivering. "We must be able to translate our promises into actions. This is why the BJP stands out as the most credible political party in the world. We don't do politics for the sake of forming govt, but to form an empowered society," he added.

BJP, the world’s biggest party, has also unveiled a phone number -- 8800002024. A missed call on this number would enable the leaders, workers and volunteers to become a party member. NaMo App is another route via which leaders and workers can attain a party’s membership and renew their association with the party. Notably, BJP National Secretary Vinod Tawre, days ago in a Press conference explained the rationale behind BJP’s membership drive that is undertaken after every five-six years.
