Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke about the biggest pride in his life, highlighting that it was neither occupying the Prime Minister or the chief minister's post.

Speaking at the BJP headquarters in Delhi post the declaration of Nitin Nabin as the national working president, Prime Minister Modi said, "People might think that Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country, that he became Prime Minister for the third time and chief minister at the young age of 50, and has been the head of the government continuously for 25 years."

"All of that is true, but there is something even bigger than all of this in my life. I am a BJP worker. That is my greatest pride. And when it comes to party matters, I am a worker, and Nitin Nabin ji is my boss," he added.

Speaking about the priorities of the BJP, the Prime Minister said service to the people has always been of utmost importance for them. "We have made power not a means of pleasure but a medium of service, and therefore, the people's trust in the BJP has continuously strengthened. If we talk about just the last 11 years, the BJP's journey has been a remarkable journey of earning public trust," he stated.

At the gathering to felicitate Nitin Nabin, the youngest to occupy the post of BJP national president, senior ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari were also present.

Nabin became the 12th president of the BJP, which was founded in 1980, the same year he was born.

The low-profile and unassuming Nabin had resigned as the minister for law and justice, urban development and housing in the Bihar government after he was appointed working president of the BJP on December 14.

Nabin succeeds JP Nadda and takes over the role as the party seeks to tighten its grip in view of the upcoming elections in West Bengal, Assam and other states.
