Spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori responded to the controversy surrounding her "expensive" handbag, saying that people work hard and earn money to lead a good life.
A controversy had erupted on social media a few days back after she was spotted with a custom-designed “Dior Book Tote” worth over Rs 2 lakh. According to Dior’s website, the bag is crafted out of cotton and has a “cotton and calfskin” lining.
Defending herself, Kishori said on Tuesday, "One does not use brands just by looking at them. You go somewhere and if you like something, you buy it. I have some principles, one of which is that I do not use leather, I have never used it."

"But if I like something and I can buy that then I buy it... I want to say that you should work hard and earn money so that you can have a good comfortable life for yourself and your family... It is purely a customized fabric bag..." she said.
A social media user took to X and wrote, “Spiritual preacher Jaya Kishori deleted her video where she was carrying a Dior bag worth ? 210000 only. Btw she preaches Non-Materialism & calls herself as Devotee of Lord Krishna. One more thing: Dior makes bags by using Calf Leather.”
