Jammu and Kashmir's development will not stop, says Amit Shah in Poonch

Shah says appointment letters have been given to the families of those affected by Pakistan's shelling during Operation Sindoor and it is a sign that the J&K government, central government and the nation's sentiments are connected with the Valley's residents.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the Pahalgam terror attack and extended his full support to the families of the victims in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir

Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday promised that the development in J&K will continue despite the  22 April Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives.

"The development of Jammu and Kashmir will not stop," Shah said while addressing an event in Poonch.  He said appointment letters have been given to the families of those affected by Pakistan's shelling during Operation Sindoor. "This is a sign that the J&K government, central government and the nation's sentiments are connected with you..." he said.

He said  India destroyed the terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoK on May 7. "This was a befitting reply given to terrorists on behalf of the crores of Indians...Hundreds of terrorists were killed in the operation...We launched an attack on terrorists, but Pakistan considered it an attack on itself. They showed the world that they are the ones who are sheltering terrorists..." he said.

He said more than 9,500 bunkers were constructed in the border areas and these bunkers played a major role in protecting the lives of the people. "More bunkers will be constructed by the central government to protect the people during any problem..." he said.

He said India ahs sent a message that it will not tolerate any attack on innocent civilians, Indian Armed Forces. "Every attack will be responded to with more precision and accuracy," he said.
