    Prime Minister Modi inaugurated India's first underwater metro tunnel on March 6, as part of phase 2 of the East-West metro in Kolkata. The tunnel is constructed 13 metres below the riverbed and was completed in just 66 days, making it an engineering marvel. However, the construction of the tunnel faced numerous challenges.
