After attending the swearing-in ceremony of Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde says "It is a historic day. The people of the state are very happy today as Chandrababu Naidu took oath as CM for the fourth time. PM Modi, Union HM and JP Nadda were present there. The oath ceremony was very well organised. Chandrababu Naidu has also supported NDA to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of the country. I want to thank and congratulate him.."

After attending the swearing-in ceremony of Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Anupriya Patel says "A big congratulations to the new CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan Both of them are now going to lead the state. All the people who have been sworn-in today and will be a part of the new council of ministers, I congratulate them. I am sure they will do good work for the people of the state..."

A day before taking oath as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu said Amaravati will be the only capital of the state and categorically discarded the previous regime's idea of a "three-capital" formula.

He also said his regime will develop Visakhapatnam as an economic powerhouse and Kurnool as the seed hub of the state. "In our government, there will be no games under the guise of three capitals. Our capital is Amaravati. Amaravati is the capital," said Naidu, in an apparent dig at his predecessor Jagan Reddy of YSR Congress. Read more here.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde leaves from Mumbai for Vijayawada to attend the swearing-in ceremony of N Chandrababu Naidu as Andhra Pradesh CM, scheduled to be held later today.

- Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said that Amaravati would be the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. The announcement comes a day before Naidu's swearing-in as the chief minister of the state.

- He said this while addressing a joint meeting of TDP, BJP and Jana Sena legislators, where he was unanimously elected as NDA leader in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

- “In our government, there will be no games under the guise of three capitals. Our capital is Amaravati. Amaravati is the capital,” Naidu was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale says, “I have come here as an NDA leader and RPI President. I am very happy because Chandrababu Naidu is going to take the oath. On behalf of NDA, I am present in Vijayawada to attend his swearing-in ceremony.”

Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, June 12 at 11.27 am at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport on the outskirts of Vijayawada.

PM Modi, Union HM Amit Shah, Union Minister and BJP president JP Nadda along with other leaders will participate in the oath-taking ceremony.

- Naidu served two more terms as chief minister after taking office in 1995.

- His first two stints as chief minister saw him lead a unified Andhra Pradesh for nine years at a time, from 1995 to 2004; his third tenure as chief minister followed the state's split.

- After Andhra Pradesh was split in two, Naidu became its first chief minister in 2014 and remained in that position till 2019. He was the head of the opposition until 2024 after losing the 2019 elections.

- He's back as the chief minister for a fourth term, having won the 2024 elections with a landslide.

Speaking to the legislators, Naidu reaffirmed his commitment to making Amaravati the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.

"With all your cooperation, I am swearing in tomorrow (as the CM) and I would like to thank you all for that. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming for the swearing-in ceremony," Naidu said on June 11.

- Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena Party (JSP), is probably going to swear in alongside Naidu. Pawan Kalyan has reportedly received an offer to become the deputy chief minister.

- Kalyan will likely be sworn in today along with senior JSP leader N Manohar, Naidu's son Nara Lokesh, and TDP Andhra Pradesh leader Atchannaidu.

- The BJP and the Jana Sena are anticipated to receive five or six seats in the state government. The CM may be one of 26 ministers in the government, depending on the strength of the Andhra Pradesh parliament (175).

The TDP of Chandrababu Naidu has the most MLAs in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly (135), followed by the actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party (21 MLAs), and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 8 MLAs in the recently elected Andhra Pradesh Assembly.

"JP Nadda ji and Amit Shah ji are coming here today. Soon after landing here, they will head to the residence of Chandrababu Naidu, where discussions on numbers and portfolios will be decided by them," Andhra Pradesh's BJP president D Purandeswari told ANI.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other prominent NDA figures are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony for N Chandrababu Naidu, who will take office as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh today at precisely 11:27 AM at the Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport on the outskirts of Vijayawada.

The spectacular return of N Chandrababu Naidu comes after he was in jail for two months last year in connection with a case of suspected corruption involving the misappropriation of funds intended for youth unemployment training.

- At the Raj Bhavan in Vijaywada on Tuesday, Naidu, 74, publicly declared his intention to form the government after meeting with S. Abdul Nazeer, the governor of Andhra Pradesh. Alongside him were Daggubati Purandeswari, the president of the BJP state, and Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Janasena Party.

- “All MLAs of the BJP, Janasena, and TDP have given their consent for me to become Andhra Pradesh's upcoming Chief Minister of the NDA government,” Naidu said after the meeting of NDA legislators.

- On June 12, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in one of the most spectacular returns to power, will take the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

- In the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly, his Telugu Desam Party-Bharatiya Janata Party-Janasena coalition swept back to power with 164 seats.

- In addition to demonstrating his power in the southern state, N Chandrababu Naidu rose to prominence nationally when his TDP joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as its second-largest component.
