UP CM Yogi Adityanath holds review meeting with the Housing Department

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the 50th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship at the Parade Ground in Dehradun on Saturday. The championship, which will continue till October 10, features over 1,000 players from 54 teams representing 28 states across the country. The Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the Basketball Federation of India and the Uttarakhand Basketball Association for successfully organizing the event.

The protesters in Pakistan and the Pakistani government on Saturday reached an agreement through a 38-point charter. This came after days of unrest in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The charter was proposed by the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC), reports said. Tariq Fazal, Pakistan's minister for parliamentary affairs, took to X to announce that the agreement had been reached between the protestors and the government.

“Negotiating delegation has signed the final agreement with the Action Committee.... The protesters are returning to their homes. All roads have been reopened. This is a victory for peace,” he said in a post on X.

Guwahati: Assam Minister Atul Bora says, "We (Asom Gana Parishad) have written a letter to the PM and the CM for a high-level inquiry...We are demanding that he be conferred the highest civilian award. He should be honoured like that."

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inspected the Yamuna river in Lakshmi Nagar, Delhi ahead of the Chhath Puja festival.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta told ANI, "Chhath puja will be celebrated on Yamuna Ghats and we are fully committed to ensuring that this year, Delhities will have the opportunity to celebrate this beautiful and historic Chhath festival".

"We will set up Chhath Ghats from Palla to the last corner of Okhla, nearby densely population area of Yamuna river", she added.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued cyclone 'Shakti' warning for some districts of Maharashtra, with high to moderate cyclone warning between October 3 and 7. According to the release, the warning covers Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. The wind speed, reaching 45-55 kmph and gusting to 65 kmph, is likely to prevail over the North Maharashtra coast between October 3 and 5.
