Jan Suraaj party chief Prashant Kishor on January 16 ended his hunger strike after 14 days. The former political strategist had been on 'fast-unto-death' since January 2 in protest against alleged irregularities in a BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) exam held last month.
However, he said his 'satyagraha' would continue for the cause of civil service aspirants, and the youth of the state and also against the alleged 'authoritarian' attitude of the state government.
Kishor said that this was a battle started by the students of Bihar who believe there were massive irregularities in BPSC exam and he made an attempt so the aspirants get justice. "This not any rally or protest. For the last 14 days, on behalf of Jan Suraaj family, I have made an attempt so that students get justice. Prashant Kishor did not start this battle; this struggle was started by those students of Bihar who believe that there were massive irregularities in BPSC exam ..." he said after ending his hunger strike.
Before withdrawing his fast unto death at the party's camp office in Patna, Kishor took a dip in the Ganga river and offered puja. He was offered fruit juice by his party workers as he withdrew the fast unto death.
