Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced emergency relief measures for customers in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, where telecom services have been severely disrupted due to unprecedented rains and extreme weather.
Prepaid users whose plans are expiring this week will get a three-day extension with unlimited calls and 1 GB data per day, even if they are unable to recharge. Postpaid and broadband customers will receive a three-day grace period on bill payments to ensure uninterrupted services.
To help subscribers stay connected, Airtel has also activated Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) in Jammu, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, allowing customers to latch onto other available networks.
“Our teams are working tirelessly on the ground to restore services at the earliest. Airtel stands with the people of these regions and remains committed to keeping them connected,” an Airtel spokesperson said.
