Byelection Results 2024 Highlights: INDIA Bloc wins 10 seats, BJP secures 2

The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) claimed victories in the Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, and Bagda seats in West Bengal and is leading in the Maniktala constituency by a significant margin.

The Congress secured victories in both assembly seats in Uttarakhand. Qazi Mohammad Nizammudin won the Manglaur seat by a narrow margin of 400 votes, while Lakhapat Singh Butola triumphed in Badrinath, defeating former MLA Rajendra Bhandari by over 5,000 votes.

In Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur, Ashish Sharma of the Bharatiya Janata Party secured victory with 27,041 votes, leading by 1,571 votes. Pushpinder Verma of the Indian National Congress trailed with 25,470 votes.

In Uttarakhand's Badrinath, Lakhapat Singh Butola of the Indian National Congress is leading with 24,155 votes, ahead by 4,196 votes over his nearest competitor, Rajendra Singh Bhandari of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who has 19,959 votes.

In Manglaur, Qazi Mohammad Nizamuddin of the Indian National Congress is leading with 31,727 votes, holding a slim margin of 422 votes over BJP's Kartar Singh Bhadana, who has 31,305 votes.

In Himachal Pradesh's Dehra, Kamlesh Thakur of the Indian National Congress is leading with over 32,000 votes, surpassing her nearest competitor by 9,399 votes.

Hoshyar Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party trails with 23,338 votes, 9,399 votes fewer than Thakur's total.

Congress candidates for the Badrinath and Manglaur assembly bypolls in Uttarakhand are leading in both seats, officials said on Saturday.

The counting of votes for the by-elections in the two assembly constituencies, held on Wednesday, began at 8 am.

Congress' Qazi Nizamuddin is ahead by 87,365 votes against BJP’s Kartar Singh Bhadana in the sixth round of counting in Manglaur. BSP's Ubaidur Rahman, who initially held the second spot, is now trailing in third place.

Out of 13 Assembly seats, Congress is leading in 5 seats, TMC in 4 seats, and BJP, DMK, AAP, and JDU in one seat each.

AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat has won the Jalandhar West assembly bypoll, defeating BJP's Sheetal Angural by a significant margin of over 37,000 votes.

Trinamool Congress candidate Mukut Mani Adhikari is leading with 32,298 votes in West Bengal's Ranaghat Dakshin after the completion of the third round of counting, according to Election Commission trends. BJP's Manoj Kumar Biswas follows with 26,081 votes, while CPI(M)'s Arindam Biswas has garnered 3,548 votes so far.

According to Election Commission trends, Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has surged ahead in Dehra with 16,984 votes after the sixth round of counting. BJP's Hoshyar Singh, who previously led, is now trailing with 15,169 votes.

According to Election Commission trends, Congress candidate Pushpinder Verma is leading in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur with 3,004 votes after the first round of counting. BJP's Ashish Sharma has garnered 2,804 votes so far.

In early trends from Bihar's Rupauli seat, JD(U) candidate Kaladhar Prasad Mandal is leading with 6,588 votes. RJD's Bima Bharti follows in third place with 2,359 votes, while Independent candidate Shankar Singh holds the second position with 4,155 votes, according to Election Commission trends.

After three rounds of counting in the Dehra assembly seat of Himachal Pradesh, BJP's Hoshyar Singh holds a lead of over 500 votes. Kamlesh Thakur, the Congress candidate and wife of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is currently trailing behind.

AAP candidate Mohinder Bhagat maintains a lead in Punjab's Jalandhar West Assembly seat, securing 9,497 votes after the second round of counting. Surinder Kaur of Congress follows with 3,161 votes, while BJP's Sheetal Angural has garnered 1,854 votes so far.

In Himachal Pradesh's Dehra Assembly seat, BJP's Hoshyar Singh continues to hold a narrow lead with 7,287 votes after the third round of counting. Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur closely follows with the same number of votes, making it a closely contested battle.

According to Election Commission trends, the Trinamool Congress is leading in all four Assembly seats of West Bengal: Bagda, Ranaghat, Maniktala, and Raiganj.

Counting of votes for the bypoll in Bihar's Purnea district began at 8 am. The bypoll was triggered by the resignation of MLA Bima Bharti, who switched from JD(U) to RJD after contesting and losing in the Lok Sabha elections.

After the second round of counting, BJP candidate Hoshyar Singh is ahead in Himachal Pradesh's Dehra Assembly seat with 4,942 votes. Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur is trailing with 4,582 votes according to Election Commission trends.

Today, the counting of votes for the Assembly bypolls in Badrinath and Manglaur will commence at 8 am.

Each constituency will have fourteen tables dedicated to counting, totalling twenty-eight tables across both seats.

In the upcoming elections for the Dehra segment of Kangra district, Kamlesh (53) from the Indian National Congress (INC), Hoshyar Singh (57) representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and independent candidates Sulekha Devi (59), Arun Ankesh Syal (34), and Advocate Sanjay Sharma (56) are competing for the assembly seat.
