GROHE Holds its First Thanksgiving Event for the GROHE NDTV Design and Architecture Awards 2015

GROHE, the world leader in luxury bathroom solutions, organised its first-ever thanksgiving event to commemorate the success of GROHE NDTV Design and Architecture Awards 2015. It was an endeavor to thank the eminent industry leaders from the fields of architecture and design for their remarkable contributions in making the awards a veritable benchmark in the space. The thanksgiving initiative was held in Hyatt Regency, Kolkata on 6th May, 2016 and was attended by the foremost architects of the city of joy.

The highly coveted award ceremony was held last year to acknowledge top architectural designs and innovative ideas around the world. It covered a variety of categories in housing and commercial buildings that were judged on the basis of sustainability, feasibility, innovation, creativity, infrastructure, social relevance and heritage.

The thanksgiving ceremony was attended by highly acclaimed architects such as Architect Dulal Mukherjee (jury DAA Awards), Gita Balakrishnan, Chairperson of IIA WB Chapter, Architect Rupande Shah, Architect Monica Bhargava, Architect Vinoo Chadha, Architect Abin Chaudhuri. The event was followed by ‘GROHE Smart Discussion’ on the topic ‘Competition’ with Mr. J. P. Agrawal,  Mr. Ajit Jain, Ms. Rupande Shah, Ms. Monica Bhargava, Mr. Vinoo Chadha as panellists whereas Ms. Gita Balakrishnan as the moderator.

At the ceremony, Ms. Renu Misra‎, Managing Director, Grohe India Pvt. The evening was concluded with memento felicitation from GROHE, awarded by Architect Dulal Mukherjee to all the nominees as everyone shared their valuable experience of DA Awards with the attendees. Architect Abin Chaudhuri, winner of the Jury Commendation Award in ‘Socially Relevant category’, also enlightened the audience with insights on his winning project and shared the overall experience.
