    Macquarie Bank bought nearly Rs 13 crore worth of Standard Chartered shares via block deal on Thursday.

    The bank purchased 10 lakh equity shares at Rs 129 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.

    It had also bought shares of Standard Chartered PLC in worth Rs 17.18 crore in May 2013 and Rs 12 crore in January 2012.

    The stock closed at Rs 128.20, down 0.62 percent amid hefty volumes on Thursday while in last one year, it rallied 25 percent. It touched its 52-week high Rs 135 and 52-week low Rs 96.40 on October 11, 2013 and July 9, 2013, respectively. Currently, it is 5.04 percent below its 52-week high and 32.99 percent above its 52-week low.  Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 2,307.60 crore.
