The Skill India Digital Hub - a digital platform to synergize skill development - has reported around 88 lakh registrations and 7.63 lakh candidates have enrolled for online courses, Jayant Chaudhary, MoS, Skill Development told Rajya Sabha on July 31.
The minister said the Skill India Hub now has 752 online courses, amounting to 7.37 lakh minutes of digital content for learners. The platform is being primed to be integrated with MSMEs and facilitate access to entrepreneurship schemes for job seekers.
The ministry has also signed MoUs with leading IT companies such as IBM, CISCO, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft to offer technical and professional skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data Analytics (BDA), Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and more.
Aside of these, IBM is offering a 2-year Advanced Diploma (Vocational) ]in IT, Networking, and Cloud Computing through 15 National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) across India.
