
The shares of ICICI Prudential AMC and HDFC AMC jumped in trade on January 16 after the two asset management companies reported strong results for the October-December quarter of the ongoing financial year 2026.
ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company shares surged nearly 9 percent to trade at Rs 2,972 apiece, the highest level seen by the stock since its market debut after IPO in December last year.
HDFC Asset Management Company shares meanwhile rose more than 5.5 percent to trade at Rs 2,696 apiece, extending gains for the second consecutive session.
ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company on January 14 reported a net profit of Rs 917.09 crore for the October-December quarter of the ongoing financial year 2026. This marks a 45 percent year-on-year (YoY) rise from the Rs 631.84 crore net profit reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The newly-listed firm's revenue from operations meanwhile rose around 23.5 percent to Rs 1,514.67 crore during the quarter under review. Expenses grew 8.5 percent to Rs 404.78 crore.
Along with the Q3 results, the company announced an interim dividend of Rs 14.85 per equity share. The record date to determine the eligibility of the shareholders set to receive the payment has been set on July 21.
ICICI Prudential AMC’s unique customers count stood at 16.17 million at the end of the December quarter of FY26, as compared to 14.33 million at the end of the same period of the previous financial year.
Monthly systematic transactions for the month of December, 2025 rose to 50.37 billion as compared to 42.47 billion in the month of December, 2024.
ICICI Prudential AMC shares have jumped more than 12 percent in the past five days, and around 14 percent in the past one month.
HDFC AMC on January 14 reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 769 crore for Q3 FY26, marking a 19.8 percent year-on-year increase from Rs 642.3 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The net profit beat the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of Rs 730 crore.
The firm’s revenue from operations meanwhile rose 5 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,075 crore, marginally ahead of the Street’s estimate of Rs 1,068 crore.
HDFC AMC shares have gained around 6 percent in the past five days, but fell over 1 percent in the past six months.
