Vishal Mega Mart Ltd, Hyundai Motor India, Waaree Energies and Swiggy, along with five other counters, will be added to index provider FTSE Russell's global equity indices on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The FTSE Index additions for June 2025 are expected to drive significant inflows, with Vishal Mega Mart leading the list at an estimated $115 million. Hyundai Motor is projected to see $56 million in flows, followed by Waaree Energies at $49 million and Swiggy at $32 million, according to Nuvama Alternative & Quantitive Research.

    FTSE Index Additions

NTPC Green Energy is likely to attract $22 million, while OneSource, Afcons Infrastructure, SAI Life Sciences, and Inventurus Knowledge are expected to see inflows of $15 million, $9 million, $8 million, and $7 million respectively. Cumulatively, the inclusions will bring $313 million in passive flows.

Further, ITC Hotels, the recently demerged hotels arm from diversified conglomerate, will be shifted to the midcap segment from the largecap segment.

Several stocks are likely to see their weightage across indices increase. Bharti Airtel is projected to receive the highest inflow at $41 million following its weight increase, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra with $32 million. Power Grid and Tata Power are expected to see inflows of $20 million and $18 million respectively, while UltraTech Cement may attract around $14 million.

    FTSE Index Weight Increase

On the flip side, many stocks will see their weightage decrease. Following the reduction in index weight, Titan and Adani Enterprises are each expected to see outflows of $30 million, while JSW Steel may face $28 million in outflows. Asian Paints and Shree Cement are projected to see reductions of $21 million and $23 million respectively.
