Indian benchmark indices ended on positive note for the third straight session on June 7 with BSE Sensex hitting all-time high while Nifty 50 index inched closer to its record high level.
At close, the Sensex was up 1,618.85 points, or 2.16 percent, at 76,693.36, and the Nifty was up 468.80 points, or 2.05 percent, at 23,290.20.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq eked out record closing highs on Monday, although investors were cautious ahead of this week's consumer prices report and a Federal Reserve policy announcement.
Providing some support to the Nasdaq and S&P 500, Nvidia shares ended up 0.7%, the session after a 10-for-one stock split. Some investors now believe the chip maker might be included in the blue-chip Dow.
The Consumer Price Index report for May is due Wednesday along with the conclusion of the Fed's two-day policy meeting.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 69.05 points, or 0.18%, to 38,868.04, the S&P 500 gained 13.8 points, or 0.26%, to 5,360.79 and the Nasdaq Composite added 59.40 points, or 0.35%, to 17,192.53.

The US 10-year Treasury yields slipped 31 basis points to 4.45 percent, while US 2 year bond yield shed 17 basis points at 4.87 percent ahead of Consumer Price Index report for May on Wednesday along with the conclusion of the Fed's two-day policy meeting.

The dollar hovered near a one-month peak against the euro and pushed to a one-week high versus the yen on Tuesday as traders braced for crucial U.S. inflation data and fresh Federal Reserve interest rate forecasts the following day.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) extended their buying on the second day on June 10 as they bought Indian equities worth Rs 2,572.38 crore , while domestic institutional investors turned net buyers as they purchased equities worth Rs 2,764.46 crore on same day.
